Abstract
Acute vision loss has many etiologies with a large differential. These conditions can range from benign to those resulting in permanent vision loss. Many of these diagnoses are time-sensitive, and the emergency physician may improve patient outcome through the consideration of several acute etiologies. This chapter evaluates the emergency medicine evaluation and management of vision loss.
