Abstract
Patients with ophthalmologic complaints can present with a variety of signs and symptoms including the red eye, pain, trauma, and vision loss. The ophthalmologic history and physical examination can provide the keys to diagnosis. This chapter evaluates the important historical and physical examination maneuvers required in the ophthalmologic evaluation, including ultrasound and the slit lamp examination.
