Abstract

Surgical technique for endoscopic third ventriculostomy is influenced primarily by the pathogenesis of the hydrocephalus and secondarily by the age of the patient, both factors being associated with anatomic variations. The procedure is described in a stepwise way, detailing the anatomical features that influence our orientation inside the ventricular system and the technical tips to afford them.
