Abstract

Glyphosate is an herbicide used by both amateurs and professionals. It is commonly co-formulated with a surfactant. Ingestions of glyphosate can result in significant gastrointestinal hemorrhage due to its corrosive injury. Metabolic acidosis and noncardiogenic pulmonary edema, along with renal and hepatic impairment, can occur. This case describes a male who ingested a concentrated glyphosate product.
