Abstract

In the frame of the German-Iranian cooperation project for the development of an integrated river basin management concept for the Zayandeh Rud catchment, p2m berlin GmbH, the engineering service provider, addressed the urban water management of Isfahan. Among the most driving questions were several aspects of public water supply, the development of innovative strategies for wastewater treatment and reuse of treated sewage effluent (TSE), as well as a concept for the management of municipal sewage sludge. As an extract of the project work which was completed in 2015, the chapter’s emphasis is on private drinking water consumption and TSE reuse.
