Abstract

Breast augmentation is a very common procedure to bring patient’s self-esteem and femininity. Each patient needs special type and size of implant, as well as surgical tech-nique, and route of access. The indications and surgical operation depend on the anatomical characteristics and desires of each patient and the surgeon’s preferred technique. There is no evidence that silicone implants are responsible for any major diseases of the whole body. Women are exposed to silicone constantly in their daily lives. There is no plausible evidence for a novel autoimmune disease caused by implants.Implants do not last forever
