Abstract
Medical management is the first line of treatment for intracranial stenosis. However, in the face of patients becoming symptomatic despite best medical management, the risk of stroke may be as high as 50%. In such a subgroup of patients, intracranial angioplasty and stenting remains a consideration. The techniques described are currently for this particular subgroup of patients.
