Abstract
Foot deformities are among the more common pediatric anomalies that present to orthopedic offices. Clubfoot is the most common congenital foot anomaly overall. Treatment of many of these conditions can be achieved by conservative measures or even observation, but deformities like the cavus foot and congenital vertical talus can lead to significant dysfunction and disability with time if not managed appropriately. One must also consider neurologic conditions and syndromes that can be associated with many of these deformities, especially in the cavus foot, and it is important for the provider to seek these out. With appropriate treatment, most of these foot anomalies can result in a functional foot for the child. It is important to know the sentient clinical and radiographic features of these different conditions so that early diagnosis and appropriate treatment may allow for improved outcomes in children afflicted with these anomalies.
