Abstract
This chapter outlines advances in medicine in the next decade as a background for the role of hyperbaric medicine in multidisciplinary care. Futuristic medicine will be personalized. HBO needs to be combined with biotechnologies for further progress. Suggestions are made for hyperbaric medicine to keep up with advances in other disciples of medicine.
