Basic Techniques for Extremity Reconstruction

Abstract

A deformity in the skeletal system is defined as any abnormality of size and shape of the bone in terms of angulation, shortness, or rotational problems. An individual with bone deformity has functional and cosmetic defects, whose severity varies on the severity of the deformity. When skeletal deformities are mentioned, lower limb deformities usually come to mind. In fact, while lower limb deformities mainly lead to walking problems, deformities of upper extremities, which are normally associated with fine motor skills, have a more negative influence on the lives of sufferers. Depending on the severity of the deformity, the affected person might not find a job or may even have difficulties with eating and drinking, as well as caring for their personal hygiene.
