Abstract
Roux-en-Y hepaticojejunostomy or choledochojejunostomy (biliary enteric anastomosis) is performed for selected cases of biliary stricture, bile duct injury, or bile duct tumor. It may be performed as a palliative bypass procedure. This chapter lists the indications, essential steps, common technical variations, and complications of the procedure. A detailed template operative dictation note is included.
