Abstract
Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) may be performed when there is a need for prolonged enteral nutrition or for palliative decompression of the gastrointestinal tract. This chapter lists indications, essential steps, variations, and complications. It gives a template operative note for the procedure.
