Abstract
Metastatic tumors of the heart are among the least known issues in oncology. Metastases to the heart generally are considered rare, but the incidence, ranging from 2.3–18.3 %, suggests otherwise. Any tumor with distant metastases can theoretically involve the heart. The pericardium is the most common location for metastases to the heart, but they may involve any structure, including the epicardium, myocardium, endocardium, great vessels, and coronary arteries.
