Abstract
Dengue is endemic in 100 countries around the world after being reemerged as an important tropical disease since the middle of the twentieth century probably as a consequence of world globalization. The majority of the patients suffering from Dengue are asymptomatic or have a mild disease, but a small percentage can have hemorrhagic manifestations and/or a shock syndrome with multi-organic failure
