Abstract
This Chapter will explore the common psychological and emotional impact of a breast cancer diagnosis and its bearing on survivorship. An understanding of the psychological processes from the point of diagnosis aims to shed light on the needs of breast cancer survivors. Challenges, psychological issues and coping mechanisms will be explored and communication skills considered.
