Abstract
This chapter details the essential surgical steps involved in open repair of a triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) tear. The TFCC is exposed and the tear is debrided. If the TFCC tear is associated with ulnar styloid fracture, styloid repair and fixation are additional steps. Bone tunnels are created in the distal ulna and sutures are passed from the TFCC periphery through the bone tunnels and tied over the ulnar neck. Indications, essential surgical steps, postoperative care, complications, and sample operative dictation are included.
