Abstract
Neurological tumors can be both primary brain tumors, arising from abnormal growth of the brain, or metastatic brain tumors, originating elsewhere in the body before metastasizing to the brain. Malignancy varies and often depends on tumor location and grade. This chapter outlines the most common neurological tumors, the various factors affecting malignancy, options for treatment, and the impact of neurological tumors and their treatments on patients of all ages. Recommendations for psychologists and neuropsychologists treating neuro-oncology patients are provided.
