Abstract

This contribution analyses the close relationship between rule of law and democracy. Firstly, the article stresses the relevance of democracy in the contemporary idea of the rule of law. Secondly, the text underlines the relevance of the rule of law in order to protect democracy since, in a true democracy, the will of the people must be created, must act and respect the law.
