The trauma chapter in nailing the boards is a comprehensive summary of the assessment and management of traumatic emergencies and burns. The management of pediatric trauma, geriatric trauma, and trauma in pregnancy is included in this chapter. Detailed information regarding emergency procedures such as the focused assessment with sonography in trauma (FAST), diagnostic peritoneal lavage, and tube thoracostomy are included.
