Abstract
A 60-year-old patient had breast reduction 30 years ago. Both paternal and maternal grandmothers had breast carcinoma, and her mother had bilateral breast carcinoma. She now wishes to have nipple-sparing subcutaneous mastectomy. The question arises that breast reduction with the inferior pedicle technique may prevent preservation of the nipple-areolar complex with nipple-sparing subcutaneous mastectomy. The blood vessels can supply the areola with nipple-sparing subcutaneous mastectomy, and the nipple can survive as a composite graft.
