Abstract
This 40-year-old patient had breast augmentation with subglandular placement of smooth silicone implants. Within 2 weeks after surgery, yellow serous fluid began leaking from one side. The discussion included culture of the fluid, removal of implant for 3 months and then reinserting and draining the fluid, and the use of compression dressings and antibiotics. Members of the Group described their experience in the treatment of the complication.
