Abstract
AdS/CFT correspondence gives an elegant method to understand transport properties of strongly coupled fluids. The coupling of matter terms with higher curvature gravity theories provides better understanding of the experimentally observed temperature dependent shear viscosity. We present the backreaction of scalar matter coupled higher curvatures on background. We also comment on the effect of backreaction on shear viscosity, entropy density and their ratio.
