Abstract

This chapter is intended to provide a brief, practical overview of benign and malignant lymph node pathology for the use of pathologists in training as well as pathologists in practice. The basic format is lymphoid hyperplasias organized by morphologic subtype, followed by malignant lymph node pathology largely adhering to the organizational scheme of the WHO Classification of Hematopoietic and Lymphoid Tissues. Finally, there are brief sections on histiocytic and dendritic cell lymph node tumors as well as spindle cell lesions of lymph nodes. We sincerely hope this chapter is helpful on a day-to-day basis.
