Abstract
Hip pain may be referred from an inguinal hernia. Conversely, hip disorders may present with groin pain. A complete history and physical examination are necessary to determine the cause of groin pain and to be thorough should include specific hip-related symptoms and examination findings. If there is a clinical suspicion, imaging is essential to diagnosis of hip disorders in most patients.
