Acute Care Surgery Handbook

Abstract

The use of point-of-care (POC) ultrasound has dramatically expanded during the last two decades. Using bedside ultrasound by non-radiologists as a critical decision-making tool in the management of life-threatening conditions proved to be very useful. More acute care physicians are currently eager to learn and practice POC ultrasound.
