Abstract
Michael Apostolis (ca. 1420–ca. 1480) was a Greek Byzantine writer, scholar, scriber, and philosopher from the circle of Cardinal Bessarion. He defended the Platonists in the quarrel between Platonists and Aristotelians. He returned to the Venetian Crete and contributed to the circulation of many ancient Greek manuscripts in Western Europe.
