Abstract
This paper proposes a fieldbus network system for oil tank by using a DPQ (Distributed Precedence Queue) algorithm that collects the state of oil tank, temperature and pressure of tank through the CAN (Controller Area Network) network. The CAN is developed by Bosch corp. In the early 1980’s for automobile network. The data from various sensors in the flowing-water tank are converted to digital by the analog to digital converter and formatted to fit the CAN protocol at the CAN module. Nine CAN modules are connected to another CAN Modules through a CAN BUS for the efficient communications and processing. This design reduces the cost for wiring and improves the data transmission reliability by recognizing the sensor errors and data transmission errors. Also each CAN Module processes sensor’s error data, transmission errors data and it can be served as a master-slave system as well. Via the real experiments, effectiveness of the Fieldbus Network System using DPQ algorithm in CAN Network is verified.
