Proceedings of the 1997 Academy of Marketing Science (AMS) Annual Conference

Abstract

This paper provides empirical findings concerning differences between Asian and indigenous1 (white)-owned U.K. small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in relation to export problems and assistance requirements. It provides a contribution to the literature since the results question whether current export assistance targeting procedures are suitable for managers from different sub-cultures.
