Abstract

We study time-dependent noncollinear spin-transport dynamics in a nonmagnetic material after ultrashort excitation. In particular, we analyze its dependence on a magnetic field. The dynamics of a pure spin current in a nonmagnetic metal are described by the wave-diffusion equations, which contain both ballistic and diffusive transport as special cases.
