Abstract
Base-catalyzed intramolecular condensation of a 2-acetamido acetophenone (1) to a 2-(and possibly 3)-substituted-quinolin-4-ol (2), a 4-(and possibly 3)-substitutedquinolin- 2-ol (3), or a mixture.
