Abstract
Shimmer Research is a technology company that designs and develops wearable wireless sensors, as well as developing algorithms to interpret the sensed world. By pairing the platforms and the algorithms together, we also provide a wide range of solutions that give real time analysis and insight from ‘data on the move’. Shimmer primarily operates in the health and sports areas and in this context kinematic and physiological data sources are the primary types of data analysed.
His routine procedure seems to have been to start a novel with some structural plan which ordinarily soon proved defective, whereupon he would cast about for a new plot which would overcome the difficulty, rewrite what he had already written, and then push on until some new defect forced him to repeat the process once again.
