Abstract

Longan (Dimocarpus longan Lour.) is a large evergreen tropical fruit tree in the genus Dimocarpus of Sapindaceae family that originated in northern Burma and northeast and southern China, and now is cultivated and occasionally naturalized in semitropical areas throughout Southeast Asia with more than 400 species.
