Abstract

This research paper delves into the intricate dynamics between shareholders and stakeholder interests, elucidating the multifaceted impact shareholders exert on the broader stakeholder landscape. Through a comprehensive analysis of existing literature, this study identifies and explores the various mechanisms through which shareholders wield influence over stakeholder concerns. The paper not only sheds light on the conventional financial avenues that shareholders utilize to impact stakeholder outcomes, but also delves deeper into the often-overlooked nuances of indirect influence and power dynamics that shape stakeholder relationships. Furthermore, this paper serves as a roadmap for future research in this evolving domain. By identifying gaps in current understanding and highlighting avenues for further exploration, it aims to guide researchers toward more nuanced investigations that encompass both traditional financial dimensions and the broader socio-economic implications of shareholder-stakeholder interactions. The proposed roadmap seeks to contribute to a more holistic comprehension of corporate governance, enhancing the ability to create balanced and sustainable value for all stakeholders involved.
