Renewable Energy in Circular Economy

Abstract

This chapter presents a constructive analysis of forest biomass, bioethanol, biodiesel, and biogas in the circular economy. Initially, the chapter presents the main production sources of these fuels, conversion processes, and potential applications (thermal and electrical energy and vehicle fuel). Alternatives for the use of residues and byproducts of production processes are then discussed, promoting the circular economy approach in production chains.
