Abstract

Japanese sake is one of the traditional cultures of Japan that dates back to ancient times. However, domestic consumption of Japanese sake continues to decline. Therefore, in this study, we developed a Japanese sake promotion application that superimposes Japanese sake information on real space using augmented reality (AR) technology. With the application, consumers can view the characteristics of Japanese sake and information about Japanese sake breweries as AR by reading the Japanese sake bottle label image at a liquor store. To evaluate the usability of the application, a system usability scale (SUS) evaluation was performed using eight subjects. According to the results, all items scored higher than the standard SUS average score. However, the application has some functionality limitations.
