Abstract

Cancer survivors are living longer than ever before. Physical health and mental health have unfortunately both been shown to be adversely affected in cancer survivors, however, a variety of interventions may improve health and increase the quality of life in these survivors. Understanding home care is important since finding appropriate and timely home care services can lead to improvements in quality of life. Therefore, an understanding of what home care is, the benefits of home care, the home care procurement process, and new innovations in home care can be beneficial for any cancer survivor considering care at home.
