Zusammenfassung

In diesem Kapitel wird ein Literaturüberblick zu den akuten und chronischen Wirkungen von kombiniertem Ausdauer- und Krafttraining bei Kindern und Jugendlichen präsentiert. Da die Trainingsanpassungen von Wachstum und Reife abhängen können, werden zunächst Modelle zur Entwicklung der körperlichen Fitness im Kindes- und Jugendalter beschrieben. Danach werden die akuten Effekte einer kombinierten Kraft- und Ausdauertrainingseinheit bei Kindern und Jugendlichen berichtet, und schließlich werden die chronischen Wirkungen eines kombinierten Trainings beleuchtet. Die Ergebnisse werden im Zusammenhang von Theorien, die aus Studien an Erwachsenenpopulationen abgeleitet wurden, und im Hinblick auf potenziell relevante Faktoren wie (biologisches) Alter und Trainingsumfang dargestellt. Auf dieser Grundlage werden Empfehlungen für die Durchführung von Ausdauer- und Krafttraining mit Heranwachsenden vorgeschlagen.
