Abstract

Green nanotechnology uses biological methods such as biogenesis to biosynthesize nanostructures or nanoparticles. Apart from the use in the fields of food and agriculture industries, green nanotechnology also plays a vital role to enhance the quality of life. Green nanotechnology also has a wide range of possible advantages, including the improvement of biomedical diagnostics, enhanced food quality and safety, decreased agricultural inputs, and enhanced soil nutrient uptake at the nanoscale. To increase their biological uses, eco-friendly material synthesis processes are becoming increasingly important. Today, a wide range of green nanoparticles have been created using various techniques, and their applications in numerous cutting-edge technological fields have been investigated. These particles have well-defined chemical compositions, sizes, and morphologies. This chapter focuses on the possible usage of these biosynthesized nanoparticles in a variety of medical biology fields, such as catalysis, targeted drug delivery, the treatment of cancer, the development of antibacterial medicines, and the development of biosensors.
