Abstract

Agricultural pollution is a major problem that threatens the planet, especially pollution by pesticides that can end up in environmental compartments far from their targets, notably soil and groundwater. Through many processes of dispersion and diffusion. The province of Larache is an agricultural region known for its agricultural production in mass and quantity which requires a lot of pesticides. The objective of our study is to determine the state of soil and groundwater pollution in the region by pesticides, identify the pesticide residues that remain and their concentration in the two compartments. The QuEChERS method is adapted for pesticide extractions from soil samples and liquid-liquid extraction for water samples. Analysis of the extracts is carried out by gas chromatography with an electron sensor detector. The processing of the GC results made it possible to identify the existence of 12 active matter in the soil and 19 active matter in the groundwater samples. Fenamiphos and chlorpyrifos are the most detected pesticides in the study area with varying concentrations for chlorpyrifos and more or less high concentrations for fenamiphos. All the samples of the underground buckets do not comply with the quality standard for pesticides, there are samples in which the concentration of certain residues is higher than the maximum value applied 100 times, this is the case for Dichlorvos. The water samples are poisoned with pesticides, the thing that can cause harmful effects on the health of the population and on the environment.
