Abstract

The turbine blades are responsible for extracting energy from the high temperature gas produced by the combustor. These turbine blades are required to withstand large centrifugal forces, very high temperatures and are operated in aggressive environments.Blades materialsproperties to be weighted are corrosion resistance, wear resistance, yield strength, elastic properties, coefficient of thermal expansion and manufacturing price. This paper presents Analytic Hierarchy Process for material selection for the PT6 engine.
