Abstract

Premalignant penile lesions are often a diagnostic challenge with the natural history of many premalignant penile lesions remaining uncertain. Several lesions exist which may be defined as either Human Papilloma Virus related or non-related. Malignant transformation of these lesions into invasive carcinoma may result in patients requiring more aggressive and extensive treatment meaning, early recognition and prompt treatment are essential. Treatment of these lesions ranges from non-invasive topical treatments to surgical excision. This chapter therefore discusses the common risk factors, types and management of premalignant penile lesions.
