Abstract
Pediatric surgery encompasses a wide breadth of topics for the treatment of the newborn to the young adult. These include, but are not limited to, treatment of pediatric trauma to surgical correction of congenital malformations and complex malignancies. Knowledge of managing the pediatric population is critical to the education of a surgical resident. This chapter covers high-yield concepts which are both typically tested on the ABSITE and seen on a day-to-day basis.
