Abstract
This chapter deals with three narratives of Palestine, belonging to the realm of the displaced: Lisa Suhair Majaj’s Geographies of Light, Suheir Hammad’s breaking poems and Annemarie Jacir’s film Salt of This Sea. The focus of this chapter, however, is the relationship between the people and the landscape from which they have been displaced, especially their relationship to both natural and manmade barriers, highlighting the role of affect in their reconstruction of narrative space.
