Abstract

In order to arrive at a maximum power point, this paper compares a Grey wolf optimizer (GWO) meta-heuristic method against a Variable step size P&O algorithm based on fuzzy logic (VSS P&O).The design, implementation, and comparison of the two algorithms are the key goals of this research. The PV system consists of a PV panel, a DC-DC boost converter, and a load. The Matlab Simulink platform is used for all modeling and simulation operations. The simulation results demonstrate the limitations and performance of each approach as well as the superiority of the Grey Wolf Optimizer (GWO) over the variable step P&O. The findings show that while the VSS P&O can more precisely discover the global optimum, the GWO has greater search capability and converge speed.
