Abstract
I reminisce about my overlaps with Wayne Orchiston, over matters dealing with the International Astronomical Union’s education activities and otherwise as far back as his New Zealand orientation. I discuss overlaps including solar eclipses observed from New Zealand.
It is with great sadness we note that Jay Pasachoff passed away on 20 November 2022. Jay previously submitted his paper for the WayneFest, thereby this tribute to Wayne and their relationship was completed prior to his passing.
