Abstract

Orofacial clefts are among the most common malformations of all. The concepts for treatment are diverse and complex. The core goals of treatment are the functional and aesthetic rehabilitation of the patient. This chapter summarizes the basic principles of therapy and provides an overview of the most common basic techniques of surgical treatment.
