Abstract
Nanomaterials are the particles of organic or inorganic materials and are being used in an ever-increasing number of products and applications. Nano Biomedicine is now being used to help treat diseases and prevent health-related problems. In brief, the prefix “nano” is a Greek word which means “dwarf.” The word “nano” means very small or miniature size. This chapter deals with basic information related to nano, an overview of historical development, and various regulations used for the control and use of nanomaterials in drug delivery or controlled release. Finally, the chapter summarizes their future trend in the field of Nano Biomedicine.
