Abstract
There is a terrible imbalance in the distribution of energy to those in need. To address this problem, we propose an analytical study that shows a summary of the international experiences in the use of renewable energy sources. This study holds a deep and comprehensive comparison between the renewable energy sources in terms of efficiency, land space, manpower, cost value, and capacity and its effect on the environment. The important features of solar energy in the Arab World, which was divided into three domains: northern, central, and southern, where solar energy was qualitatively evaluated and compared with its global counterparts.
This study presents the best and safest solution by using renewable energy sources, which will contribute to solving the escalating water problem, reducing pollution, and preserving the environment.
The results of this research show that the central domain of the Arab World is one of the areas of receiving great solar energy. The countries of the Arab Gulf have the highest amount of radiation in the world. Solar radiation in the Sultanate of Oman is 3–4 times that of Europe, which would raise the efficiency of the solar power station by more than 25% and reduce costs.
