Abstract
Considering inguinal hernia repair is one of the most common general surgery procedures performed annually in the United States, a thorough understanding of the appropriate diagnostic modalities in particular clinical settings is of significant importance. This chapter reviews the various imaging modalities available to surgeons, such as ultrasound, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging, during the workup of inguinal hernias.
