Abstract

While the concept of trauma is not new, the need to address trauma within health care has gained significant recognition in the last few decades. This chapter explores the effects of trauma on the lives of the clients served by occupational therapists in the primary care context and provides strategies to support clients and colleagues from a trauma-informed perspective.
